PANews 2月24日消息，据英国《金融时报》报道，五名知情人士透露，与特朗普“和平委员会”合作的官员正探索为加沙设立一种稳定币，以重塑这片饱受战火摧残的巴勒斯坦飞地的经济。围绕引入稳定币的讨论尚处于初步阶段，具体如何在加沙推行仍有诸多细节待定。但官员们已将此构想作为该飞地未来计划的一部分进行讨论。一名知情人士称，该稳定币预计将与美元挂钩，希望海湾阿拉伯国家和巴勒斯坦在数字货币领域具备专业经验的企业能够牵头推进。该人士表示：“这不会是‘加沙币’或新的巴勒斯坦货币，而是让加沙民众实现数字交易的工具。”
