Strategy's Bitcoin position has recovered all unrealized losses, with a cost basis of $75,385.

Odaily Planet Daily reports that Lighter CEO Vladimir Novakovski stated at the inaugural meeting of the CFTC Innovation Advisory Committee in the United States that DeFi has long been misunderstood and should not be seen as an adversary of regulators. DeFi transactions, recorded verifiably on-chain ledgers, help regulators work on transparency, consumer protection, and market fairness. Novakovski stated that decentralized, verifiable finance has the potential to become a crucial component of the future financial infrastructure in the United States, particularly in terms of cybersecurity and operational resilience. The industry should push for more technologies to move towards open-source, verifiable technology stacks. He also stated that AI has the potential to democratize finance, allowing users to build comprehensive trading or investment strategies based on their own judgments of macroeconomics and industry trends. Such capabilities have historically been primarily geared towards high-net-worth individuals and professional fund managers. Novakovski pointed out that the main risk facing AI in the financial sector is consumer protection risk, such as users not understanding the actual function of AI models or being misled by misleading advertising. Therefore, before AI models are widely deployed to consumers, it is necessary to establish appropriate sandbox mechanisms to verify the effectiveness and formal verifiability of the models.
Lighter CEO: DeFi should not be the antithesis of regulators; AI may drive financial democratization.
