According to Bitcoin News, Odaily reports that Bitcoin whales have accumulated 38,000 Bitcoins in holdings.
Liquidation Alert
In the past hour, total liquidations across the network reached $10.19 million, with $8.69 million from long positions, with $1.50 million from short positions. BTC liquidation $2.59 million, ETH liquidation $1.30 million.
BNY Mellon increased its holdings of Strategy stock by $1.45 million, bringing its total holdings to $102.4 million.
According to Odaily Planet Daily, BitcoinTreasuries.NET reported on the X platform that BNY Mellon, with assets of $2.2 trillion, disclosed an increase of 14,630 shares of Strategy, worth $1.45 million. Its total holdings of Strategy stock now amount to 1.02 million shares, worth $102.4 million. As one of the oldest banks in the United States, BNY Mellon is increasing its Bitcoin exposure through Bitcoin Treasury.
BitMEX has decided to cease operations due to its founder's control issues and declining business, which prevented a sale from being completed.
According to Odaily Planet Daily, cryptocurrency exchange BitMEX failed to find a buyer before deciding to phase out operations in June. A source familiar with the matter stated that factors such as reputational burdens, slowing growth, and founder control issues led potential acquirers to withdraw from negotiations. The source noted that BitMEX's continued business decline made it difficult to obtain a valuation based on growth expectations.
BlackRock holds 51 million Class A ordinary shares of SpaceX.
According to BlockBeats, on August 8, BlackRock (BLK.N) disclosed in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that as of June 30, it held 51 million Class A ordinary shares of SpaceX (SPCX.O).
