US senators released a new draft of the Clarity Act, which for the first time includes provisions on cryptocurrency ethics for senior officials.
Odaily Planet Daily reports that U.S. senators have released a new draft of the "Clarity Act for Digital Asset Markets," merging two versions previously pushed forward by the Senate Banking Committee and Agriculture Committee, and adding ethics provisions for the first time. The new draft's ethics provisions aim to prohibit senior government officials from sponsoring or issuing their personal cryptocurrencies. The bill is not yet finalized, and it remains uncertain whether its key provisions will receive bipartisan support.
