Yi Lihua: Bitcoin may experience a slight pullback in the short term; plan to close long positions around $86,000.
According to BlockBeats, on August 28, Liquid Capital founder Yi Lihua stated that Bitcoin has not yet broken through the resistance level around $81,000. He expects a slight pullback in the next few days, followed by a continued rise and a breakout of that area. The next resistance level to watch is around $86,000.
He plans to close his long positions when Bitcoin reaches around $86,000, as that level could face a significant pullback. However, he still believes the bullish trend has arrived, and even if the price enters a resistance zone and the short-term outlook is bearish, he will only close his long positions and will not establish short positions.

Dallas Fed researchers warn that tokenized deposits could weaken banks' ability to transition maturities.
According to Odaily Planet Daily, researchers at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas (Dallas Fed) say that tokenized deposits and 24/7 instant blockchain transfers could weaken bank liquidity and limit their ability to issue long-term loans. The study, authored by Rosie Levy and Srini Ramaswamy, points out that about 80% of the $7 trillion in maturity risk borne by U.S. banks is supported by the maturity characteristics of traditional deposits. If the weighted average maturity of deposits shortens by 10%, the banking system's maturity transformation capacity will decrease by approximately $580 billion, potentially increasing liquidity risk and pressure for capital outflows. Chris Turner, co-founder of Kula, stated that the speed of token transfers does not equate to the legal settlement of underlying financial claims. Tokens can be transferred through a blockchain network in seconds, but payments, ownership, and legal claims still rely on banks, custodians, clearing systems, and regulatory registrars for settlement. Grayscale: Bitcoin's correlation with gold surpasses 50%, suggesting a possible resurgence of currency devaluation trading.
According to BlockBeats, on August 28th, Zach Pandl, Head of Research at Grayscale, stated that over the past year, during the AI-driven rise in risk assets, Bitcoin's trading performance has been closer to that of high-beta assets, but this trend may be reversing. Bitcoin's 90-day correlation with the Nasdaq 100 index has fallen from over 60% to approximately 33%, while its correlation with gold has risen from slightly above 0 at the beginning of the year to over 50%.
Grayscale believes this shift may indicate that investors are refocusing on Bitcoin's scarcity, monetary independence, and store-of-value function. Meanwhile, the recent surpassing of $40 trillion in US federal debt, persistent fiscal deficits, and rising long-term Treasury yields are again drawing market attention to assets that can hedge against deteriorating fiscal and monetary fundamentals.
Pandl points out that Bitcoin has no central issuer, its issuance rules are transparent, and its maximum supply is fixed at 21 million coins. In an environment where the long-term purchasing power of fiat currencies is being reassessed, Bitcoin can serve as a scarce and highly liquid alternative to gold. Bitcoin and other scarce digital assets may be entering a more favorable market phase.
