This week, Trump met with executives from several crypto companies at the White House and publicly called on Congress to pass a "fair version" of the Clarity Act. At the same time, the U.S. SEC formally proposed the "Regulation Crypto Assets" framework, which plans to allow certain crypto financing to be exempt from full securities registration under certain conditions, including a cumulative financing amount of up to $5 million over four years or $75 million annually, and to provide conditional safe harbors for certain token projects.

Shay stated that banks can leverage blockchain technology to create a payment system similar to stablecoins, while maintaining the credit advantage of the US dollar in the traditional financial system. This project is seen as a new attempt by banks to address the expansion of stablecoins.
